Week 6 - Marina Sanchez: Thumbnails, Matrixes, and 10 Ideas

 

1. An exhausted looking barista with a blank face mask pours milk into a cup. A customer in front of the bar says “You should smile more”. The exhausted barista has a poorly drawn smile drawn on her mask. 
2. A customer drops a folded green paper into a happy barista’s tip jar. The barista reaches into the jar to collect tips. She unfolds the paper to see “Do Better” written in sharpie. The barista has a soulless smile. 
3. An unhappy, snobby customer demands latte art from a barista. The barista hands a cup to the customer. Customer looks shocked. Latte art is a middle finger. 
4. Barista carefully tops drink with perfect whip cream while a customer watches and looks excited. Barista hands drink to excited customer. Customer says “I don’t like whip”.
5. A customer stares at a barista behind the bar. Barista  gives an awkward smile. Customer has a wedding ring.

1. Two guys on a bench look at a woman as she walks by. One guys comments: “Look at that eye candy!” Woman has literal candy for eyes.
2. A woman reaches for anti-aging cream. She applies the cream to her face. She wipes her face with a towel. She has an infant head. 
3. A woman enters a building advertising “Aromatherapy”. She checks in with the receptionist at the front desk. Woman is curled up and crying as multiple candle aromas float around her. 
4. A woman pulls a lava lamp out of its package. She plugs it in. She looks in terror as magma catches her desk on fire. 
5. A woman walks up to a stand advertising face lifts. A man approaches her. He lifts her cheeks with both hands.
